Well – that’s my point – the map shows very clearly that the geographical diversity of participation is extraordinarily poor. It’s a good tool to back up any argument that ICANN has a LOOOONG way to go towards having global participation. If we had easy access to the actual numbers that went into the creation of the map, that would be even more useful.

maps may be nice,  but as my ALS collegues from Canada have mentioned - having nice maps does not equal participation nor transparency
