We moved the company to Slack about two years ago. Since then we’ve become less reliant on email, but we still use it.
A lot of companies in the tech space are now using Slack (or alternatives) to replace a lot of their email for internal discussions etc.,
One of the upsides to Slack is that it integrates very neatly with a load of 3rd party services.
Downside – you can’t “browse” archives, though if you are on a paid plan you can search them.
