Four quick comments:

- It seems that the chair position is rotating from one region to another. That's not a bad idea. Perhaps we should institutionalize that ...?

- The ALAC chair position, in my opinion is one that requires a rather large time investment. Let's make sure that is well known before anyone accepts a nomination.

- I propose that anyone running for key positions - such as Chair and/or vice-chair(s) - submit a candidate statement that includes not only a conflict of interest statement but also what goals they wish to accomplish during their turn.
