Dear All: In order to try and have one place where all At-Large-related events can be found - and to allow those who wish to subscribe to the calendar in their personal calendaring system - we're setting up a Google calendar. All the regional Secretariats will be able to create entries, plus the regional officers, and the ALAC Committee and ICANN Staff including regional liaisons - so hopefully it will be kept current. Nick, I would appreciate knowing what the ALAC believes are the top ten issues currently affecting the at-large community. Would you be good enough to raise this matter at the next ALAC monthly meeting so that we can eventually set a forward-going agenda that will tackle these issues? I'm not sure that we can tackle ten issues at the same time, personally I would be focused on the post-Registerfly activities, which include getting escrow actually in place, ensuring proper compliance tools and activities, and a longer term process to add better protections for registrants, partly through RAA changes (for example regarding guarantees for transfer-away procedures) and partly through best practices (for example for what regards resellers setting themselves as registrants in place of the actual ones). I am sure that you noticed our statement on this matter! Thanks to Peter Dengate Thrush who moved it, the Board approved a specific resolution that requires Twomey to devise a process by San Juan (see http://www.icann.org/minutes/resolutions-30mar07.htm#_Toc36876534 ) - we would like to make the best possible use of this opportunity. Of course, specific suggestions and contributions would be welcome. -- vb. Vittorio Bertola - vb [a] bertola.eu <-------- --------> finally with a new website at http://bertola.eu/ <--------
Hi I'll put these ( more to come ) at the top of these questions 1. Domain registants rights and the RAA revision process! RF still out there scamming people... 2. Expired Domain takeover by registrars. Anyone listening to pre-Lisbon meeting "tutorial" would be as amazed ad I did about the statements made. 3. Whois privacy. I really can see no use for public exposing whois data, except to ease the life and expenditures for IP lawyers, spammers and the like. Public access to whois data is **not** the same as publci display of whois data ( see the examples of other gTLD and ccTLD regsitries ) 4. Add Grace Period abuse and unethical domain tasting activities. I guess that most of these question have to due with abuse from registrars to their so-called customers... Hi Hong If you are looking for pages, try the "what's New" link at the top - I found it that way earlier today. But it would be good for everyone to link their new pages from a TOC. In order to manage it and not have it become a long and dreary list of links to scroll through, it might be good to create a simple taxonomy - like Policy (top 10 issues would fallunder that) etc Thanks Jacqueline Quoting Hong Xue <hongxueipr@gmail.com>:

I think it would be an idea to put up a top-10. Of course, we can't tackle 10 issues simultaneously, we have trouble with more than one. However, it would give us a good idea of where to start tackling issues. I could spit out 5 relatively quickly by myself. aloha, Randy Glass A@L On 4/2/07, Danny Younger <dannyyounger@yahoo.com> wrote:

Hi Randy Please spit out youo top issues on the site at https://st.icann.org/alac/index.cgi?alac_top_10_issues (make a comment and it will show up on the page) We'll compile and sort out the issues in a while.
