List of endorsed Board Liaision nominees posting requested
Dear Wolf and Dessi, As stated in the Board <https://st.icann.org/alac-docs/index.cgi?board_liaison_process_2009> Liaison Election process 2009, "Each RALO is requested to forward the names of nominees that have been endorsed by the RALO, through whatever mechanism they wish to use for this purpose or which their Rules of Procedure provide, to the public At-Large list not later than 15 September 2009." Therefore, could you please forward the names that your RALO has endorsed for the position of Board Liaison to at-large@atlarge-lists.icann.org by no later than 16 September? Staff are required to publish the Candidate list on 17 September. The notice below was sent by me to the ALAC Executive Committee Sep 15, following the NARALO conference call meeting that was held the previous day: ---- At the meeting, we received the results of a poll held to determine NARALO member preference regarding candidates for Board Liaision. Both ALSs and unaffiliated individuals were represented in this vote according to our operating procedures. Having considered the results of that poll, NARALO is pleased to put forward TWO candidates for ALAC to consider for Board liaison, in order of preference according to the poll: - Seth Reiss - Alan Greenberg I would also note that some people in the NARALO meeting expressed concern that Seth's relative unfamiliarity to ALAC members might put him at an unfair disadvantage. I hope that ALAC will ensure that it gets to know all candidates brought forward, and makes its choices based on who would serve At-Large best rather than simply who is best known to ALAC. ---- Evan Leibovitch Chair, NARALO
