As this was a joint statement presented in Sydney on behalf of the At-Large Community, ALAC and NCUC, I don't think we should be considering revisions. If we change it then it ceases to be a joint statement, which was the point of the exercise. We have an independent statement "Statement of the ALAC on the IRT's Final Report" <http://www.atlarge.icann.org/announcements/announcement-2-07jul09-en.htm> voted on and supported. After the comment period ALAC should just vote on the joint statement as it stands. Suggest we leave any further revisions to the new process Evan's initiated. In accordance with the At-Large Policy Advice Development Schedule (http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=rJKtp8gl3W5-ZcY_xMpPg5w), the comment period on the Joint ALAC and NCUC Statement on the Final IRT Report has recently started. The Statement will now undergo full review by the wider At-Large Community. Comments on the current draft version will be incorporated in the final revision.

The document was drafted originally by At-Large Advisory Committee member Patrick Vande Walle and discussed and revised by the ALAC and the NCUC during their joint meeting in Sydney on June 23rd, 2009 (see http://syd.icann.org/node/3807).
