Rudi and all,
The reason why we shouldn't do as you and Belgium government suggests is that the whole world doesn't live in Belgium, and because such would violate many other countires national laws.
It's not just the Belgian government. It's EU-wide as far as I know.

Getting into an argument with you is futile, however it is EU law that all companies must include their business number and registered address in all electronic communications including emails and websites. Do you honestly think I have that footer in my email for my own pleasure? -- Mr Michele Neylon Blacknight Solutions Hosting & Colocation, Brand Protection http://www.blacknight.com/ http://blog.blacknight.com/ Tel. 1850 929 929 Intl. +353 (0) 59 9183072 Direct Dial: +353 (0)59 9183090 Fax. +353 (0) 1 4811 763 ------------------------------- Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd, Unit 12A,Barrowside Business Park,Sleaty Road,Graiguecullen,Carlow,Ireland Company No.: 370845

Fully agree Michele, it is European law and regulation, which is some cases is not that bad. It makes business more transparent and locks out illegal activities if information in whois is available. And if registrar checks validity of this information we would avoid having tons of spam and other rubbish on the net. At least that's my point of view ... Rudi Vansnick
