Re: [At-Large] Statement on Domain Tasting submitted to the ALAC
Beau, I said what I stated I would say, and put it before the other options. But feel free to submit alternate wording to the ALAC which reflects better what the NARALO said. I can certainly add the words enthusiastic and unanimous if that helps. At 04/12/2007 03:56 PM, Brendler, Beau wrote:
Alan, thank you for doing this, specifically the heavy lifting required for the detailed discussions on options. However, I would caution that this statement in my opinion does not reflect the sentiment of the North American RALO. There was unanimous, enthusiastic agreement to eliminate the AGP; what's written here notes that almost as an aside.

Attached is the statement being submitted to the ALAC for approval.
I hope that I have adequately incorporated the most recent comments. I do thank those who participated in this process. The resultant statement is an order of magnitude better than the first draft thanks to this participation.
The final statement will be posted to the ALAC Wiki once it is approved.

Alan: NARALO's view is clear and precise - the AGP should be dropped. AGP is seen as the pathway to abuse, and contrary to the public interest. NARALO believes that a clear message should go ICANN in regards to this. It is hoped that other RALO's as well as the ALAC support this strong and principled position. regards, Robert --- Robert Guerra <rguerra@privaterra.ca> Managing Director, Privaterra Tel +1 416 893 0377 On 4-Dec-07, at 4:22 PM, Alan Greenberg wrote:
