GDPR and Google Analytics - Oh No You Don't, Austrian DPA says.....
The chickens are coming home to roost... ” *…the use of IP addresses, cookie IDs, advertising IDs, unique user IDs or other identifiers to (re)identify users do not constitute appropriate safeguards to comply with data protection principles or to safeguard the rights of data subjects. This is because, unlike in cases where data is pseudonymised in order to disguise or delete the identifying data so that the data subjects can no longer be addressed, IDs or identifiers are used to make the individuals distinguishable and addressable. Consequently, there is no protective effect. They are therefore not pseudonymisations within the meaning of Recital 28, which reduce the risks for the data subjects and assist data controllers and processors in complying with their data protection obligations.*” https://techcrunch.com/2022/01/12/austrian-dpa-schrems-ii/ Carlton ============================== *Carlton A Samuels* *Mobile: 876-818-1799Strategy, Process, Governance, Assessment & Turnaround* =============================
Hi Hank You already have your answers with the list you provided. So, google their wiki and check their membership. I hope someone can point me at the right page to find this info - how many individual people are involved with ICANN?
A breakdown by major sub-groups would be great:
- At-large (at-large@atlarge-lists.icann.org)
- GAC
- ccNSO (ccnso-members@icann.org)
- gNSO
- others?
[I know there will be overlap]
Probably the best way would be to know how many people are registered on each of the major ICANN mailing lists to get an understanding of how many individual people are involved with ICANN.
Thanks,
Hank

ICANN also has about 200 full-time salaried employees who do much of the real day to day work. The breakdown of what you're asking specifically is detailed in the by-laws which isn't a difficult read, perhaps start with Article 6, "Empowered Community". https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en That won't give you the numbers but it will give you a taxonomy to hunt down the numbers similar to your list but complete. Not a direct answer, but you can explore the ICANN Community by country and by region via the ICANN Stakeholder Tool I developed at https://bitly.com/ICANNST For a background behind why the tool was developed see https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ICANN+Stakeholder+Analysis+Tool Kind Regards, Dev Anand Teelucksingh Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society https://ttcs.tt At-Large, On Thu, Jan 20, 2022 at 5:25 PM Barry Shein via At-Large < at-large@atlarge-lists.icann.org> wrote:
