Brian,

Staff is moving forward with the erratum option.  We will notify the Review Team once all work has been completed.

Larisa,

I think the erratum option is easier and agree with the points below.  I took the liberty to add some language to the draft.  Please review and accept or modify as you see fit.  I think the edit adds some clarity as to why this is being published.  I am traveling in a few hours and will be available late Friday evening U.S. EDT if you have questions.

Best,

Brian

Subject: ATRT2 Draft Report - Proposed Revision re: Recommendation #6 (GAC-related)

Brian,

As you requested, attached is the revised Draft Report, reflecting the change pertaining to Recommendation #6.  The detailed components of this recommendation have been copied from the body of the report in Section 8 and added into the Executive Summary under the summarized version of Recommendation #6.

An alternative option is to issue a correction (erratum) – also attached.  In this option, a correction document is issued, while the original document remains unchanged.

Please advise which option you wish to use and confirm that the attached version accurately reflects your intended change.

Staff would like to highlight several important items:

·         Table of contents and pagination are impacted by this change – not applicable if “correction” option is elected.

·         Translations into 6 languages will need to be modified to reflect this change and web site content will be updated.  This will take 2-3 business days.  In the case of “correction”, Language Services will still be used to identify the appropriate section and formulate the correction language and the correction document will be posted on public comment pages for each language.

·         A revised public comment announcement will be issued to alert the public about the revised report or correction.

·         Since the Draft Report posted on 21 October has already been widely circulated to SOs, AC, and the Board on or around 29 October, in preparation for the meetings in Buenos Aires, revised notifications are recommended.  There is a likelihood of confusion between different versions of the report, particularly for individuals wishing to make references to specific pages of the report.

Best regards,
