Hello All, Please find below two posts that we can possibly share on BC’s SM channels 1. DNS Abuse is a high interest topic in the larger ICANN community with several stakeholders working on developing policy to mitigate and reduce abuse in the DNS system. ICANN has recently published report using the data from the DAAR project that showcases that the measured abuse has gone down over the years. The report takes into consideration 4 years of data derived from multiple RBL (Reputation Block Lists). The ICANN team has published the stats from the recently concluded meeting ICANN 73 which was a virtual session. One of the most striking number of all the stats that we noticed was the session with the maximum attendance and unsurprisingly it was "Evolving the DNS Abuse Conversation” with 576 unique members attending. Dear BC ExComm, Kindly review the draft posts below from the BC Communications Committee. They are seeking BC ExComm approval to post on BC’s social media on behalf of the BC. To further explain, the decision was made during the BC Communication call on 1 April 2022 to have ICANN Secretariat, Brenda, forward email from BC Communications Committee with suggested posts for BC’s social media platforms, ie: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. Upon BC Excomm receipt, review and approve or make suggested changes and return to me with BC Comms Committee copied. These emails will be limited to one per week. Kindly add this topic to the BC Excomm agenda for Thursday, 7 April at 14 UTC. In the meantime, feel free to review the posts below and offer feedback to BC Communications Committee. Thank you!
