Today marks the three month anniversary of the letter sent by the BC to ICANN raising five questions regarding the document

“UDRP Providers and Uniformity of Process – Status Report” issued without advance notice by ICANN on July 19th , the day after the Durban meeting concluded -- http://www.bizconst.org/Positions-Statements/ICANN-UDRP%20Uniformity%20of%20Process.pdf

A quarter of a year has passed and the BC has to date received no response to its inquiry. This is inconsistent with professed standards of accountability and transparency.

At a time when ICANN is trying to rally the community to defend the multistakeholder model it is sad that it continues to feel free to ignore important stakeholder constituencies whenever they raise inconvenient questions. If ICANN expects enthusiastic support of the MSM it has to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.  Business sector backing of ICANN is critical to its future viability.

I have deliberately placed this message on the public BC list so that it is available to ICANN executives and staff.

Happy holidays.
