Most lists include new gTLD initiatives which have a dedicated website. This does not necessarily mean that they really will apply in the upcoming round next year or that they will apply at all. Especially in the langauge and cultural TLD area there are quite a dozend of new gTLD intiative for which certainly see only expression of interest but no application in this upcoming round. On the other hand at DOTZON we are in close contact with more than a handful of .brand candidates which will be silent to the last day of the application window.
