Re: [bc-gnso] Input needed from all members
I would support new gTLDs as the main topic AoC as a strong second But restrict it to these two. I understand that the other CSG members are currently looking at new gTLDs as the main topic and I too would support this notion. ------Original Message------ From: Marilyn S. Given the priorities at this moment and the limited time the CSG will have with the Board, I support the approach of focusing on new gTLDs and the AoC. The SSR topics can be taken up at the June meeting, and in informal discussions in SF. Hi all, Supporting the previous proposals I would like to propose, that we focus on specific issues of the new gTLD topic. One important issue for many businesses are the conditions for the "Single Registrant" type applicants. This has been discussed in BC many times, last on our previous call. My view is that we as BC are quite close to common understanding on how we would like the SR applications to be handled, and I feel we should stress the importance of this to the board. The default response from board and staff is, that this kind of changes can not be done anymore, but I feel this argument is not valid anymore. The Board/GAC consultations will evidently lead to many changes and respectively public comment rounds pushing the final approval to unknown date. I feel, that acknowledgement of SR type of applications will offer also new ways to solve problems in DAG, which have not been in discussions lately. Support focusing on TLDs only. Philip .... ... who very nicely did NOT reply to all and thus saved 5 BC members from duplicate mails. Will the next BC member be as kind to me ?
Hate to bring it up again, but 'compliance and its officers' -- or lack thereof -- is something the board needs to hear about. RA Ronald N. My present response is to Ron Andruff's question about Compliance. YES indeed. that should be a part of the SSR topics! Thanks.
