I am with Andrew. I thought that we had decided to participate in the ICANN events in some strength, and not to try to have a separate event, especially as Indian business is being hosted by FICCI and the Indian Govt in New Delhi, two days before, which will mean limited travel from New Delhi based businesses to Hyderabad.
I have mentioned a couple of times that I will also have a National and Regional Initiatives/IGF at lunch, and that is proposed already with a conflict with the CSG event with ALAC. I can't avoid that and most of the NRI coordinators and participants are from ccTLDs and Govt. so I don't overlap for the majority of the CSG [except for me, Jimson*, and Lawrence and Omar]. *But as Jimson is an officer of the BC, he should prioritize the CSG/ALAC lunch time event, in my view.
Chris Mondini and I have been talking about a Fireside Chat between the CEO and a very senior TATA/NASCOM executive. I spoke to him informally, as I was trying to use my senior contacts at NASCOM to encourage this, and my relationship with the Chair Emeritus at TATA. He was very hopeful that this would come through, and frankly, to me, our best strategy then is to participate, as Andrew has noted below.
Also, perhaps we should try to volunteer for an hour or two in the Newcomers booth/something we haven't done recently. I suspect that Omar, Lawrence and I can all dedicate at least an hour, and it is something we should do as part of the mentor/mentee program anyway.

Team,
I’m now a tiny bit confused. When I spoke at the global connect conference with Marilyn on Friday, I thought that we’d made the decision to simply participate in the event that was being organized by ICANN that was not BC-only and have strong representation from the outreach committee.
Were we trying to do something separate?
Apologies for being behind the ball, but I wasn’t expecting to be in Hyderabad and just found out I can be, and have been scurrying to get logistics for that together.
I’d like to get back to Chantelle as soon as we can.
Thanks, Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Were you able to speak to Chris and Riccardo?
The room has been booked and the schedule goes public on Tuesday. If the BC Outreach team doesn’t have anything planned, the group may want to consider withdraw the meeting request.
Have a great weekend—hope the conference went well.
Best,
Chantelle
