I would like to endorse this event,and can contribute to Omar's excellent description of its opportunity for 

the BC. 


CASA IGF is invited to follow IGF-A,and in addition, Omar is reaching out to a few new sponsors that 

can become interested in the BC via this event: MasterCard Foundation, and TetraTech, as only two of the

My name is Omar Ansari, I am presiding over TechNation, a Kabul-based technology and consulting company. TechNation is a member of BC and we are actively involved in preparing the first Internet Governance Forum Afghanistan (IGFA), to be held between March 28 and March 30, 2017 in Kabul, Afghanistan.

IGF Afghanistan provides a platform for diverse stakeholders from business, civil society, government and technical community to come together and discuss IG related issues— more information on: http://igf.af. We believe the meeting also provides a great opportunity for ICANN BC to get involved with IGFA and business stakeholders in the region. We, therefore, would like to propose conducting an outreach activity, a BC Workshop + Lunch/ Dinner, with the event.
