Just an FYI which is only intended to whet your appetite further. Omar and I are working on a Youth at IGFA session! Now, they are too young to join the BC, but they will eventually be able to apply to NextGen! 


Omar is doing an amazing job in organizing the IGFA. The BC's support will help us to bring in more businesses from the CASA region. It might be of interest that there are three speakers from ICANN, thanks to the outreach work that he has done.


Congratulations, Omar, and thanks for helping us reach into Afghanistan business and the CASA region.

It was nice speaking with you earlier today. As requested, please find attached the budget break down, please let me know if this is okay. 

Also, we believe, in addition to the benefits mentioned in our proposal, this outreach activity in Afghanistan will benefit BC in the following ways:

  1. This outreach activity will result in 3-5 BC membership applications from Afghanistan and the CASA- Central Asia and South Asia region and the countries located along the historic Silk Road. 
  2. Engaging members from the region will also result in long term engagement of and with the BC in the region. This will continue to create more awareness about ICANN BC, and the business community will understand better about how businesses from across the region can get involved. 
  3. Wider awareness and visibility about BC among the diverse stakeholders participating in the IGF Afghanistan, in person and remote. The event will also opportunity to recognition on the event website, advert materials and including signage that promotes ICANN BC, and its crucial role in the overall stability, reliability, resiliency of ICANN. 
  4. Foster diversity within BC as new participants, and then members from the CASA and from the countries along the Silk Road, will help to contribute to the diversity of BC.
