Andrea Glandon:Welcome Omar! Omar Mansoor Ansari:Hi Andrea. Thanks. Omar Mansoor Ansari:I will be reconnecting later from home. Andrea Glandon:Okay, sounds good. Omar Mansoor Ansari:so I might disconnect for a bit Omar Mansoor Ansari::) Andrea Glandon:Okay, noted Omar Mansoor Ansari:i am testing on a new machine, can you hear me? Andrea Glandon:Welcome, Arinola! Arinola Akinyemi:Thanks Andrea Andrea Glandon:Welcome Andrew! Andrew Mack:Hi all. waiting to get connected on the phone Andrea Glandon:Checking in with the operator now Marilyn Cade:all calls should be recorded. Andrea Glandon:Yes, the operator is still trying to reach Lawrence Marilyn Cade:I have asked all of those who received funding to use a template to provide report. Arinola was at the remote hub. I thik it had around ten attendees, as far as I coudl tell from dialing in a couple of times. Marilyn Cade:Advancing visibility of business from developing countries as panelists, and alongside our larger BC members was one achievement, I think. Marilyn Cade:Gaining an agreement from Rotary Club International to engage with me to understand the importance of Business was a great achievement. The Geneva Business Network brings in new and different companies that we may engage with... Omar Mansoor Ansari:here is the stats: Omar Mansoor Ansari:https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.intgovforum.org_mul... Omar Mansoor Ansari:IGF2017 Omar Mansoor Ansari:sorry 2016 Arinola Akinyemi:Can seem to get my Mic connected. Marilyn Cade:Arinola, perhaps you can type in your comments about the experience of the remote hub. Andrea Glandon:I sent you a private message Arinola Marilyn Cade:WITSA used to be a member. i have proposed that Omar recruit individual ICT associations, regardless of whether we recruit WITSA itself. We need members from Eastern Europe and I have reached out to Litthiania, and Poland... Marilyn Cade:I am also in touch with the NASSCOM host, to also add in some possible companies from India that are attending. One -- Sify -- a former member -- Marilyn Cade:I saw that Bene said it was in her spam but she has confirmed it. Marilyn Cade:CROP pays for reasonable registration fees. Andrea Glandon:The operator is still unable to connect Lawrence Marilyn Cade:Extra expenses; printing, breakfast, dinners: $800 in the amount, right? Andrew Mack:was reviised to $500 total Marilyn Cade:Excomm approval of $500 seems reasonable Omar Mansoor Ansari:I requested some additional funds for printing and breakfast/ dinners -- i will email you, and also keep you in the loop Marilyn Cade:Arinola can send her comments via text. Marilyn Cade:can you paste your proposal here? I have not seen it. Andrea Glandon:Marilyn, I can re-send it to you Andrea Glandon:Just sent it Arinola Akinyemi:I participated at the remote hub all through the time the IGF was ongoing. It was a success and we had collaboration with ISOC Nigeria and the NIGF Secretariat. It had 10-15 participants most of whom were from the business sector. Marilyn Cade 2:I am a profesor at the N.Am School of Internet governance. as I mentioned. but I'd like to have some time to review this, so it is an outreach committee proposal. Marilyn Cade 2:It is the first time we have seen this proposal, so we should have input from all of us, as was the case with the S.African outreach event. Andrea Glandon:I will re-send Tola's email to the outreach list Marilyn Cade 2:The mentor and one mentee is funded, but ICANN has offered to share the cost, so the cost to BC to bring Tola would be only for airfare, to bring him along to not just the mentoring/onboarding program, but also allow his participatoinin the CCWG Auction Proceeds. Andrea Glandon:I'm working on it Andrea Glandon::) Omar Mansoor Ansari:Thank you all. Take care.
