Re: [Capacity-Building-WG] capacity-building-wg Digest, Vol 4, Issue 5
Dear Sala, As far as I've checked the list for EURALO everything seems to be in order. The only aspect that puzzles me is the column F with Primary language which has English listed to some organisations that definitely don't have English as native language. Would you please remind me what the Language columns stand for? Thank you! Adela
Dear Adela, Thank you for your email. Please also check the spreadsheet against the EURALO dashboard which is on the Wiki and also see if there are new ALSes that we may have not captured on the spreadsheet. In relation to the Language Column - we would also like to record the main (primary) language spoken by that organisation and also other secondary languages spoken by members of that organisation on their mailing lists or in physical meetings. If majority of the conversation is in French for instance, then French will be the Primary Language and other languages spoken can be listed as secondary languages. The language column is essential for communication purposes. Thank you. Kind Regards, Sala On Fri, Mar 8, 2013 at 3:42 AM, Adela Danciu <adelada@gmail.com> wrote:

Adela, For the primary/secondary language, you can send me a brief chart of the ALS name and the relevant languages and I'll update accordingly. Best, C On Thu, Mar 7, 2013 at 9:12 PM, Adela Danciu <adelada@gmail.com> wrote:

Dear Chaitanya, Please find attached the corrected v.13 spreadsheet with languages added. I hope I got them all right. In any case, EURALO uses predominantly English to communicate with its members, so where the ALS hasn't specified a particular secondary language I assumed English. Thank you!
