As you may recall, some years ago, an ICANN Geographic Regions Working Group was formed by the ICANN Board with the purpose of identifying how ICANN’s Geographic Regions are used and to determine whether the current ICANN Geographic Regions continue to meet the requirements of the relevant stakeholders.

The group has now submitted a final report for the community's and Board's consideration, relating to the current and future uses and definition of the ICANN Geographic Regions. The Final Report is available at http://www.icann.org/en/news/announcements/announcement-22jun13-en.htm.

The ccNSO Council has agreed to invite the ccTLD Community to establish a drafting team, which will look into the recommendations and draft an input (last day for comments is 17 October 2013). 

If you are interested in joining this drafting team, please, let me know by 9 August at the latest!
