Fully agree with Dotty.
Every time I find it refreshing to hear views of the individual
Board Members and discuss the issues at stake.
I think they are also mutually beneficial: on more than one
occasion I felt that the Board Members left the breakfast much more
knowledgeable.
For Nairobi Peter DG asked to drop the chair/CEO sessions with the
ccNSO, this time the breakfast … How is Rod going to interrogate us on
contributions if we don’t meet? ;-)

There is nothing that takes the place of one-to-one,
face-to-face communication and discussion.
Large formal group presentation and discussion with Q&A
becomes too stylized and "quotable" to hit at the heart of an issue.
If we are going to go this route, we don't need to go half
way round the world to do it. We can just log on to some Internet meeting
scene.
It's not the same.
Warm regards.
