Subject: Re: [ccnso-council] [INPUT REQUIRED] - Topics for joint sessions in ICANN 78
I think Jordan’s suggestions on Global Digital Compact discussions are necessary conversations and they must take place between all ICANN SOs & ACs. Mission shout be to catch and reflect all types of stakeholders -from the public/governmental to the private non-profit or for profit spectrum, to individuals within and without the technical community. Those internal inter-community ICANN conversations seem like minimum prerequisites to craft any ICANN position or viewpoint that IMHO matters. So big +1 to Global Digital Compact as major part of ccNSO outreach to ALL SOs & ACs. And ccNSO has a LOT to teach ICANN and the World: ccNSO is as all of us know perhaps the most legitimate and diverse transnational community out there (and definitely within ICANN): a) ccTLD managers from sovereign as well as non-sovereign territories from all corners of the globe, b) ccNSO does not discriminate between ccTLD managers based on their governmental, academic, or their private corporate structure; and c) ccNSO is even open to individuals, as is my case; selected via NomCom based on general geography and thus not even directly related to a ccTLD Manager.

Dear Councillors
Yesterday we talked about potential topics to address in our joint sessions for ICANN 78. We have scheduled a meeting with the ICANN Board and a tentative joint session with the gNSO.
Here are some of the topics suggested yesterday that could be discussed with both the Board and the gNSO:
- ICANN’s position on the global digital compact and the WSIS+20 review
- Potential gap analysis on IANA's operational situations with ccTLDs
- Bylaw changes? How to improve the processes?
- Reviews: IFRT, CSC Review, Holistic Review
- Any other topics?
Are there any particular topics to be discussed with GAC or ALAC?
Please reply to this email thread with your suggested topics and/or comments to proposals.
Best regards,
Alejandra
