The ccNSO is launching a Buddy System to support ccNSO newcomers as they attend ICANN83 sessions, and begin participating in our work. We're reaching out to invite experienced, enthusiastic, and approachable volunteers to become buddies!

Why This Matters

Becoming involved in a new group can be intimidating. With your help, we can:

Ease the transition for newcomers
Reduce uncertainty around participation
Build community and belonging
Encourage early, confident engagement in ccNSO work

Who Makes a Great Buddy?

We're looking for volunteers who are:

Positive, welcoming, and approachable
Familiar with how the ccNSO operates day to day
Aware of the challenges newcomers face
Willing to dedicate some time to support and guide others
Attending ICANN83 in person

Role and Time Commitment

Support the newcomer(s) assigned to you during ICANN83, with the help of the OMC pre-ICANN83 Info Package
Stay in touch with the newcomer(s) assigned to you throughout the week, and answer their questions.
Join our relaxed ccNSO meet-up on Wednesday, 12 June 2025 | 09:00-10:15 local time in Prague. This session is intended to give ccNSO newcomers and long-standing members an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and build community together.
