The ccNSO is launching the next edition of the Buddy System to support ccNSO newcomers attending ICANN meetings. We're reaching out to invite experienced, enthusiastic, and approachable buddies!

Why This Matters

Becoming involved in a new group can be intimidating. With your help, we can:

• Ease the transition for newcomers
• Lower the threshold for participation
• Build community and belonging
• Encourage early, confident engagement in ccNSO work

Who Makes a Great Buddy?

We're looking for persons who are:

• Positive, welcoming, and approachable
• Familiar with how the ccNSO operates day to day
• Aware of the challenges newcomers face
• Willing to dedicate some time to support and guide others
• Attending ICANN85 in person

Role and Time Commitment

• Support the newcomer(s) assigned to you during ICANN85, with the help of the OMC Newcomer Package
• Stay in touch with the newcomer(s) assigned to you throughout the week, and answer their questions. 
• Join our relaxed ccNSO meet-up on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 | 09:00-10:00 local time in Mumbai. This session is intended to give ccNSO newcomers and long-standing members an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and build community together.
