The ccNSO secretariat is now initiating the selection process whereby the ccNSO Councillors are required to select
a candidate to become a member of the Customer Standing Committee (CSC), which ensures the satisfactory performance of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) naming function.
You are now expected
to review the applications and rank the candidates, based on how well the candidates meet the set of requirements as
listed in the call for expression of interest. Further instructions are included below.

Term of Appointment
In accordance with the charter of the CSC, the regular term of appointment shall be two (2) years.
Next term start: 1 October 2021. A member may be re-appointed for two additional terms (in total 3 terms). For an overview of the current members and liaisons, go to https://www.icann.org/en/csc/members-liaisons
In April 2021 one of the two current ccNSO appointed members on the CSC, Alejandra Reynoso, indicated she wants to step down from the CSC as she was elected Chair of the ccNSO. Following a call for expressions of interest and a Council
selection process, Frederico Neves (.br) was appointed in June 2021 for the remainder of Alejandra's term.

After closure of the call for volunteers, the materials submitted will be sent to the ccNSO Councillors eligible to select the members for the roles of CSC member. Based
on each of the individual Councillor’s rankings, the Secretariat will prepare the overall ranking of all candidates and report the ranking to the ccNSO Council on Tuesday, 3 July
2021.
Candidate qualification requirements
ccNSO candidates are expected to have the support of a ccTLD manager (whether members or non-member of the ccNSO).
CSC members will be selected based on how well they meet the following set of skills and experience:

About the Customer Standing Committee (CSC)
The CSC ensures the satisfactory performance of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) naming function. The CSCis responsible for monitoring Public Technical Identifier's (PTI)
performance of the IANA naming function against the service level expectations in the IANA Naming Function Contract. The CSC analyzes performance reports provided by PTI and publishes its findings. The CSC is authorized to undertake remedial action to address
poor performance of the IANA naming function, and if performance issues are not remedied, may escalate the issues to the ccNSO and GNSO.
