Launch call for volunteers: the ccNSO seeks two panelists for the ICANN Community Excellence Award Selection Panel

Draft resolution

THE CCNSO COUNCIL RESOLVES TO launch a call for volunteers, aimed at appointing 2 panelists for the ICANN Community Excellence Award Selection Panel.  The ccNSO Council requests the Secretariat to publish the call for volunteers and start the procedure, based on Annex A to the ccNSO Guideline: ccNSO Collaboration Groups with a limited Scope.

Background

ICANN Community Excellence Award recognizes those ICANN participants who have deeply invested in consensus-based solutions and in the importance of ICANN’s multistakeholder model to Internet governance. Fomerly known as Multistakeholder Ethos Award, this award was renamed ICANN Community Excellence Award in 2020.  A panel of community members representing each SO/AC based on the award criteria selects recipients annually. There are up to two panelists per SO/AC. The panelists for the next selection round should be appointed by 24 January 2021.Panelists serve a maximum of 2 consecutive terms.  The panel starts evaluation work around ICANN73.

Thank you.
