The quorum was successfully met, and the candidate with the majority of votes cast, Sami Mohamed Ali,
has been elected.
Voting Eligibility and Process
Only ccNSO members from the Asia/Australia/Pacific region, through their designated Emissaries, are
eligible to vote for candidates representing their region on the ccNSO Council. At the time of ballot distribution, there were 58 members from the Asia/Australia/Pacific region, corresponding to 57 Territories and 57 Emissaries. Each Emissary received one
(1) unique ballot.
Per the relevant guidelines: A quorum is achieved when a majority of all eligible Emissaries in the region cast votes. The elected candidate must receive the majority of votes cast, with the winner determined by a plurality of votes.
