Dear Colleagues,

As Gabi noted, I have decided to leave Neustar (.us) and move to a new opportunity. It has been my sincere pleasure to work with each of you, and in the ccNSO as a whole, over the last 6 years.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Chris for his leadership and Gabi and Bart for the excellent support they provide to the Council and to the ccNSO community.

My new position is with VeriSign and I’ll continue to work on ICANN policy matters and attend ICANN meetings.

See you in Brussels!

Best regards, Keith

Subject: [ccnso-council] Approval of timeline for nominations to vacant Council seat North American region
Importance: High

Dear Councillors,

Keith Drazek is leaving his position at NeuStar by the end of May, which also means that his seat on the Council will become vacant.

In order to fill it, nominations (and possibly elections) need to be held for the North American Region. Before they can be launched, the Council needs to appoint a Nomination Manager and agree on the proposed timeline for Nominations an possible Elections:

---
Proposed timeline:

By 1 June: Council appoints Gabriella Schittek as Nomination Manager
By 1 June: Council approves Nomination period timeline

Nomination period:

Nomination period opens: 2 June 2010
Nomination period closes: 9 June 2010

If necessary: Election period opens: 11 June 2010
Election period closes: 18 June 2010

Nomination/Election report is to be submitted by the Nomination Manager 3 days after the Nomination/Election period is closing.

---

Unless anyone protests by the 1st June, I will consider myself being appointed as the Nomination Manager.

Unless anyone protests by the 1st June, I will also consider the proposed timeline as being approved.

Kind regards,

Gabi
