I am pleased to inform you that in accordance with section 18.7 (a) of the ICANN Bylaws, the ccNSO Council has appointed the following two persons as the “Two representatives appointed by the ccNSO from its ccTLD registry operator representatives”: 

 

Frederico Neves, .br (Brazil), LAC region

Peter Koch, .de (Germany), EU region

 

With respect to third candidate the ccNSO Council is required to appoint according section 18.7 (b) of the ICANN Bylaws, we have to inform you that no  non-ccNSO ccTLD representative who is associated with a ccTLD registry operator that is not a representative of the ccNSO has applied for membership despite the extensive outreach efforts: 

 

On 20 July, initial information about the coming call for volunteers sent out to all email lists under auspices of the ccNSO, including the ccTLD world list to which all ccTLD managers are subscribed

 

As no candidate from the non-ccNSO members group of ccTLD managers has volunteered, the ccNSO Council appointed a third person on an interim basis to ensure the voice of the ccTLD community at large is properly represented on the IFRT. This person will step down and be replaced on the IFRT if a candidate from a non-ccNSO ccTLD manager with the required skills and experience as defined in the original call for volunteers steps forward and is appointed by the ccNSO Council. 

 

The third ccTLD representative on the IFRT who is appointed on an interim basis by the ccNSO Council is the following person: 

Helen MacDonald, .ca (Canada), NA Region.
