1. GNSO has forwarded the Final Report of the Internationalized Registration Data Working Group (IRD-WG) to the ICANN Board with 4 key recommendations, namely to develop a data model for domain registration data, to request an Issue Report on translation and
transliteration of contact information, to identify a domain name registration data access protocol for internationalization and adoption of standards.
2. The WHOIS Review Team has been reconvened to examine 2 options that the GNSO Council has discussed so that the ICANN Board can be duly informed. The 2 options are to advise the ICANN Board to consider each individual GNSO constituency and stakeholder group
comments on the recommendations or to tabulate the 16 recommendations and explain for each whether a policy development is required.
3. In response to ICANN Board resolution 30 on 10 Dec 2010, the GNSO Consumer Choice, Trust and Competition Working Group (CCI WG) has produced an Advice Letter for consideration by SOs and ACs to assist them in responding to the Board's request. A motion is
being prepared to endorse the recommendations and forward the letter to the ICANN Board.
