Dear all,
The Secure Email Communication for ccTLD Incident Response (SECIR) Working Group had a conference call on Tuesday and discussed following issues:
* It was felt that an existing implementation of a secure email system would meet most requirements for a secure email list and secure contact repository. However, the subscribers will need to use PGP Keys to be able to use the system. Some training might be required;
* Discussions were also held as to who should host such a platform; this topic is currently being explored;
* The policies around membership criteria and according to what principles subscribers should be added also still needs further clarification;
* The community will hopefully get an option presented before or at the Los Angeles meeting – community feedback will be sought;
* The WG is still aiming to meet the goal to have a first system up and running by December 2014

Kind regards,
Gabi
