Below is the first recommendation from the Triage Working Group according to our recently adopted prioritsation model (approved by 2/3 of the Triage Group members; no reply from 3rd member). The recommendation is to forward the request to the JIG WG and also invite members to comment directly.

Please, let me know by the end of 20 May at the latest if you object to this recommendation. If no objection is received, we will proceed according to the recommendation.

Summary of request: The ICANN Board is requesting input and guidance from the Supporting Organisations and Advisory Committees to provide input and guidance they may have to be factored into  the implementation of the Recommendations from the Report on User Experience Implications of Active Variant TLDs.

In particular, they wish to have input on following issues:

a) Which recommendations, if any, are pre-requisites to the delegation of any IDN variant TLDs (i.e., delegation of IDN Variant TLDs should not proceed until these Recommendations are implemented);
b) Which recommendations, if any, can be deferred until a later time, and
c) Which recommendations, if any, require additional policy work by the ICANN Community and should be referred to the relevant stakeholder group for further Policy work
