Dear ccNSO Council and SOPC,

ICANN is kicking off the FY23 Strategic Outlook trend identification process. ICANN community members will have the opportunity to participate in trend identification sessions via their Supporting Organization (SO) or Advisory Committee (AC).  (Board Keeps ICANN Strategic Plan in Force and Unchanged – blog post by Maarten Botterman)

The session for the ccNSO has been scheduled for 1 March 2021, at 16:00 UTC.

Designed to shape ICANN's priorities, the Five-Year Strategic Plan establishes a vision and a set of objectives and goals in service of ICANN's mission. Every year, new trends or shifts in existing trends have the potential to impact our plans.

We can only accommodate 30 active participants in a session, due to the nature of the exercise, and propose to accept participants on a first come, first serve basis.  Register here:  https://forms.gle/szspHdCBoMHnA5uo7

A session will take about 90 min, organized as follows:

• Introduction (10-15’)
• Break-out into subgroups of 5-6 people to brainstorm on trends using virtual white board (25’)
• Break (10’)
• Regroup in main room and share results (25’)
• Individual votes for top-3 priorities (5’)
• Adjourn

ICANN org actively solicits input during "strategic outlook sessions" from the community, Board, and others on key trends anticipated to impact ICANN in the coming years.

• Feedback received during these sessions is collected and analyzed as trends, risks, and opportunities; and potential impacts on ICANN are assessed.
• The Board's Strategic Planning Committee considers the data and analysis from this process when producing its recommendation for the full Board.
