Call for Volunteers: ccNSO Study Group on IANA Public Records
The ccNSO Council is seeking volunteers to serve on the ccNSO Study Group on IANA Data Accuracy. The Study Group is expected to begin work in January 2026. This call for volunteers
closes 12 December 2025 (23:59 UTC).
PURPOSE | The Study Group will examine the purpose, accuracy, and potential compliance mechanisms
for IANA public records. Its work includes reviewing what data IANA publishes and why, whether current record types remain necessary, and whether new records should be added. The group will also assess the importance and current level of accuracy of these
records and consider what should happen when inaccuracies persist. Finally, it will explore possible compliance and enforcement options beyond today’s limited mechanisms. Based on its findings, the Study Group may recommend new policies or practices to the
ccNSO Council.
