Dear Theresa,
The At-Large staff has the honour to transmit to you the ALAC Statement on
the Draft Strategic Plan 2010 - 2013 on behalf of the At-Large Advisory
Committee.
The Statement has already been submitted to the public consultation on the
Draft ICANN Strategic Plan for 2010- 2013 on January 21st with a note that
the document was still undergoing the internal ratification process. The
ratification process which ended yesterday resulted in the ALAC unanimously
endorsing the Statement with a 15-0 vote. You may review the result

This document was originally drafted by Sébastien Bachollet, Vice-Chair of
the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) based on input received from the five
At-Large regions (RALOs) and Vanda Scartezini, ALAC Liaison to the Board of
ICANN. The RALOs discussed the Draft Strategic Plan during their monthly
teleconferences and online and drafted individual regional comments in
advance of the At-Large community call on the Strategic Plan held on January
15th 2010. These regional comments are linked to the online workspace on
Strategic Planning (

The draft Statement was made available for community review on January 18th,
2010. On January 21st, the Chair of the ALAC asked the Staff to start a
five-day vote on the document.
As this is a formal Statement of an Advisory Committee to the Board, we
provide it by copy hereby to the Secretary of ICANN for distribution to the
Board with our compliments. The ALAC welcomes any comments the Board may
wish to make by reply.
