The Independent Review of the ICANN Nominating Committee - Final Report, a number of individuals (including both current/former Board members and current/former NomCom members) noted that it would be helpful to obtain performance assessments for NomCom’s appointees, since otherwise the NomCom has little information as to how their appointees performed when they are being considered for reappointment. This sentiment was echoed by others who indicated it was sometimes hard to trust the NomCom when competent appointees were not reappointed and incompetent appointees were reappointed. Page 31 of the report by the Independent Review Group ( 2018).
