As good be expected the NTIA announcement has had a major impact on the ICANN/ccNSO meetings program

First of all, ICANN will organize a special session on Monday morning directly after the opening session to launch the consultation process of the transition ( see included invite).

To avoid a conflict with the usual Council prep meeting, the Council Prep meeting will now be on Sunday 23 March, directly following the Council Workshop.

Also note that part of the Council Workshop will be dedicated to the topic and moderated by an external facilitator, Chris Robinson from Incitelearning.

Dear Community Leaders,

You are cordially invited to participate in the session on ICANN Globalization - Community Dialogue, that is to follow immediately after the Welcome Ceremony and President’s Opening on Monday 24 March (10:30 AM to 12:30 PM SGT).

This event will launch the consultation process on the framework to transition the U.S. government's stewardship role of the IANA functions. The objective is to foster a vibrant, global, cross-community, transparent and multistakeholder-designed dialogue.

Following the Singapore meeting, input from the community discussions will be compiled and incorporated into the consultation materials, anticipated to be posted on 7 April for public comment and feedback.
