Jordan,

You could not have said it any better.  As I expressed to Katrina privately, WTW?

It’s VERY out of order to me, with regards to process…

Safe travels (and that applies to everyone).

Best Regards,

/Stephen

Hi all,

Thanks for sharing this Katrina. It makes for an interesting read. Slightly startling choice for us, given how in the scheme of things we don’t do a lot of the bulk of ICANN’s work and so our view on prioritising might be less significant than the GNSO.

Also, forgive me if I am mistaken, but isn’t it conventional for documents like this (launching a plan) to be posted to the whole community two weeks before an ICANN meeting? It sounds like Brian plans to spring it on everyone at the meeting....?

thanks for your help,

Jordan

Dear Colleagues,

I have received an email from Brian Cute regarding the further steps to ensure evolution of ICANN’s multi-stakeholder model (see below). Although the idea of assigning topics to communities that would be responsible for developing solutions was (kind of) discussed in Marrakech (and in Kobe), I am slightly surprised by the twist.

This is something I would like to discuss during the Council prep meeting. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to dedicate too much time to this topic, therefore please think about it in advance.

Thank you!

Kind regards,

Hi Katrina,

At ICANN66 I will present the proposed work plan for Evolving ICANN's Multistakeholder model. In the work plan, the ccNSO would be tasked to develop a solution to the issue of "Precision in scoping work". The work plan sets out a projected timeline for the work and resources that will be required to develop and propose a solution.

I would like to meet with you to discuss this prior to the plenary session on Thursday, November 7th where the work plan will be presented and discussed. Let me know when you have 30 - 60 minutes to meet and discuss this. Looking forward to it.

Best,

Brian
