Call for Public Comment on the Draft 2016 African Domain Name System Market Study
The
public comment[icann.org] period on the draft 2016 African Domain Name System Market Study, which was commissioned in March 2016 and managed by the South African Communications Forum (SACF) for ICANN, is now open.
The goal of the study is to identify and define the strengths and weaknesses in the African DNS industry ecosystem, and develop recommendations on how to advance the industry by bringing it closer to available
opportunities. The draft 2016 African Domain Name System Market Study report, which is now open for comments, can be found here[icann.org] .
Comments are due by Friday May 5, 2017 at 23.59 UTC.
GNSO Community Comment 2 (CC2) on New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Policy Development Process
This public comment proceeding is being opened in order to obtain input on the Community Comment 2 (CC2) questionnaire developed by the GNSO's Policy Development Process Working Group that is evaluating what
changes or additions need to be made to existing new generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) policy recommendations.

Proposal for Ethiopic Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules (LGR)
The Ethiopic script community has formed the Ethiopic script Generation Panel (GP), which in turn has developed aProposal for the Ethiopic Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules (Proposal[icann.org] and Proposal
Documentation[icann.org] [PDF, 2.01 MB]). As per the LGR
Procedure[icann.org] [PDF, 772 KB], this proposal is being posted for public comments to allow those who have not participated in the Ethiopic script GP to make their views known to the GP. Based on the feedback, the Ethiopic script GP will finalize the
proposal for submission for integration into the Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone.
