Here is a status update (Friday, 26 September at 11:00 UTC):

Africa region: One candidate has been nominated and seconded.
Australia-Asia-Pacific region: Two candidates have been nominated; one has been seconded, the other is pending a confirmation of the seconding.
Europe region: One candidate has been nominated and seconded.
Latin America & Caribbean region: Two candidates have been nominated, and both have been seconded.
North America region: One candidate has been nominated; seconding is still pending.

ccNSO members – via their Representatives - may put forward nominations for individuals to serve on the ccNSO Council, representing their Geographic Region. For the nomination to proceed, it must be seconded by another ccNSO member from within the same Region, but representing a different Territory. If the individual submitting a nomination or seconding is not the Representative, the Selection Process Manager will notify the Representative and request confirmation of the nomination or seconding. If you are unsure who the Representative is for your ccTLD, contact joke.braeken@icann.org

This is a kind reminder that the Call for Nominations for the ccNSO Council will close on Tuesday, 30 September 2025 at 23:59 UTC.

ccNSO members are encouraged to participate in this process by nominating or seconding candidates, in accordance with the ccNSO Council Election Guideline. Please note that:

Only Representatives of ccTLD managers are eligible to nominate or second.
If a nomination or seconding is submitted by someone other than the Representative, it will only become valid once confirmed by the official Representative.

Status of nominations (as of 23 September 2025, 18:30 UTC)

African region: One candidate validly nominated and seconded.
Asia-Pacific region: Two candidates nominated. Both nominations are valid. Secondings are still pending, including one pending Representative confirmation.
European region: One candidate nominated with pending Representative confirmation. Candidate is validly seconded.
Latin America & Caribbean region: Two candidates nominated. Both nominations are valid. Only one candidate validly seconded.
North America region: No nominations received yet.
