Call for Volunteers:

Join the MPC Effectiveness Review Team

The ccNSO Council is seeking volunteers to serve on the Meetings Program Committee (MPC) Effectiveness Review Team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of the ccNSO’s platform function and help ensure the MPC continues to deliver value to the ccTLD community.

Purpose of the Review

The Review Team will assess the effectiveness of the MPC in fulfilling its MPC Charter [ccnso.icann.org]-defined objectives, including enabling information sharing among ccTLD managers and coordinating the ccNSO Members Meeting agenda at ICANN public meetings. The team will evaluate whether the MPC remains fit for purpose and recommend improvements if needed.

·         At least two members must be current ccNSO Councillors

·         Current MPC members are not eligible

·         Volunteers should have a strong understanding of the ccNSO’s platform function and a commitment to supporting its community-driven processes

Timeline & Commitment

The Review Team is expected to begin work around ICANN84 and deliver its final report to the ccNSO Council by the end of 2025. The expected closing date of the Review Team is January 2026. The ccNSO Secretariat will provide staff support, and the team will appoint a spokesperson to represent the group when needed.

Includes:

·         Reviewing MPC activities and performance

·         Interviewing stakeholders across the ccTLD community, for instance at ICANN84

·         Evaluating alignment with the ccNSO Meeting Guidelines

·         Recommending whether the MPC should continue and how its effectiveness might be enhanced

Interested?

If you’re ready to help shape the future of the MPC and strengthen the ccNSO’s role as a platform for the ccTLD community, please submit your expression of interest to the ccNSO Secretariat by Wednesday, 10 September 2025 (23:59 UTC), by completing this form: https://forms.gle/4GXrJW5WcYzRMT8g7 [forms.gle]

To facilitate your participation in the ccNSO representing your ccTLD, we will require an ICANN Account [account.icann.org], which is the ccNSO's and ICANN's platform to manage participation. If you already have an ICANN Account (e.g. for registering at ICANN meetings), please login [account.icann.org] to your ICANN Account using the email address that you use for your ccNSO work and verify that your profile is up to date. If you do not have an ICANN Account or are unsure, please create an ICANN Account [account.icann.org] at your earliest convenience.

Additionally, all members and participants to this working group will have to complete a Statement of Interest (SOI) form. Fill out the form here [forms.gle].
