As follow-up from my email from 27 August, please find included the draft resolution on adoption of the timeline for the nomination of an individual to fill Board
Seat 12, following the resignation of the Katrina Sataki as Board member. In addition and in accordance with relevant Guideline, the Board is requested to appoint Joke Braeken (ccNSO secretariat) as Nomination Process Manager.
The
voting is open until Tuesday 3 September 2024. Please be so kind to vote using the Council email list. If you any questions, want to raise a concern or object please use the email list as well.

Draft Resolution
Background
Following
the resignation
of Katrina SAtaki as Board member per 23 August 2024,
the ccNSO was formally
requested
to initiate the process to fill the vacancy of Board Seat 12:
To start this process, the secretariat
has
put together a timeline, which followed
follows
the requirements of section 10.3 (i) of the Bylaws, the internal Rules of the ccNSO and the applicable Guideline (https://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/ccnso-nominations-icann-board-guideline-15dec22-en.pdf

The proposed timeline reads as follows:
A more detailed view of the timeline is included in the background paper circulated to the Council on 27 August.
According to the applicable Guideline the ccNSO Council also has to appoint a Nomination Process Manager, whose responsibilities are detailed in the
aforementioned Guideline. The Council is suggested to appoint Joke Braeken, member of the secretariat as the Nomination Process Manager.
Decision
The ccNSO Council adopts the proposed timeline for
the 2024
Board Seat 12 Nomination Process, and requests the secretariat to publish
the Timeline as soon as possible to inform the community accordingly
of the upcoming Board Seat 12 Nomination process.
The ccNSO Council appoints Joke Braeken, ccNSO Secretariat, as the Nomination Process Manager.
The Chair of the ccNSO is requested to inform John Jeffrey, ICANN General Counsel and Secretary, of this Resolution, after it is has become effective.
This resolution becomes effective upon publication.
