Dear all,

A public comment was launched, with the purpose to gather Community feedback as to whether the forthcoming ccNSO review should be deferred as proposed. All feedback will be considered by the Board in making their determination on the proposed deferral until August 2018.

Currently, the ccNSO Review is scheduled to start no later than August 2017. The ccNSO has expressed its desire to defer the upcoming review by 12 months, and indicated the ccNSO would use that time to perform an assessment of the implementation status of the recommendations that arose from the previous ccNSO Review, assuring that in August 2018 the ccNSO will be well prepared for an effective and efficient review. Following an evaluation of the public comments received, the ICANN Board will consider deferring the next ccNSO Review until August 2018.
