Thanks, Bart.
I also see no bearing the .NA cover letter may have on the ccNSO. I wasn’t aware though that ccNSO members also pay fees to the ccNSO? Am I missing something after all these years? I know we voluntarily make annual payments to ICANN.
I, therefore, have no problem accepting .NA’s application. The stuff about AfTLD should be left to be a matter that .NA deals with on its ownJ

Subject: [ccnso-council] Cover letter .NA application
Dear all,
Included the cover letters for .NA and the .NU (from 2003).
The Launching Group approved the .NU application and noted the cover letter did not impact the terms of membership.
Becky and I checked and the statements included in the cover letter from of .NA do not have any impact on the terms of membership according to the Bylaws nor do they effect the activities of the ccNSO. The cover letter also has no effect on the commitments contained in the application for ccNSO membership. If we are to be consistent with the decision in 2003, the cover letter can be treated in the same fashion, and the application approved.
We strongly urge that the Council act on .NA’s membership application by email as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
Bart
