I see ALAC’s response via Maureen as a good faith apology and honest effort to try to avoid more missteps in the future.

This type of direct chair to chair and org to org (SO to AC) communication is IMHO always a good thing.

I do agree that we, as ccNSO, must continue being mindful of what we sanction and what we condemn; what we validate and what we protest.  

If these issues or similar ones were to reoccur, then we as ccNSO might have to look at our toolset to explore other options.

But we are not there yet, and hopefully this experience can be the start of a better ccNSO/ALAC working, where actual closer planning of sessions of common concern can actually take place in a mutually satisfactory manner.
