I am not opposed to accepting this nomination and if necessary I will vote in favor, but it would be more transparent to extend once again the deadline for a few more days. This way, we would not be vulnerable to criticism in the (unlikely) case that there was another possible candidate, who was not nominated, because his supporters knew that the deadline had expired.

A recap: Juhani Juselius, .fi was nominated and seconded after the ending of the official nomination period. Therefore, the Council needs to decide whether to accept the nomination. Juhani is the only person who has been nominated for the EU region.
