Dear Councillors,

This is to inform you that the ccNSO was requested to appoint a delegate to the 2024 ICANN NomCom. The name of the delegate should be sent no later than 31 May 2023 to NomCom Operations Staff.  The Job Description is enclosed. Regarding elegibility requirements, note that the delegate is required to be associated with a ccTLD manager, and that ccNSO Councilors are not eligible.

Sophie Mitchell (.au), the 2023 ccNSO appointed delegate, has served her first one-year term.  As per the ICANN Bylaws, section 8.3, she is eligible to serve another one-year term. The ccNSO Secretariat will launch a call for volunteers in accordance with the Guideline: ccNSO Appointment Procedures and the timeline below, unless anybody objects by Wednesday, 26 April (23:59 UTC).

• Start call for volunteers: Thursday, 27 April 2023
• Close call for volunteers: Friday, 12 May 2023
• Secretariat sends applications materials to Council: Monday: 15 May 2023
• Deadline for councilors to rank the candidates in order of preference (if more than 1 candidate): Tuesday, 23 May (23:59 UTC)
• Following appointment by Council, the name of the delegate will be sent to NomCom operations staff no later than 31 May 2023.
