I am mailing to give you a heads-up on the next steps with respect to the fourth policy development process (ccPDP4) undertaken by the ccNSO. For those of you who do not closely follow this and other processes, the topic of this ccPDP4 is the selection and deselection (retirement) of country code International Domain Names Top Level Domains (IDNccTLDs) and variants.

Publication Members Report

Shortly, the Members Report will be published. This Report is to inform you as members of the ccNSO on the proposed policy and related matters and includes the Council Recommendation on which you will be asked to vote. As soon as the report is published you will be informed.

ccNSO Members vote

On 7 March 2024, the ccNSO Council adopted the Final Report of the ccPDP4 Working Group. Following the Council decision, the ccNSO membership has the opportunity to vote upon the Council Recommendation to adopt the proposed policy. The voting period  from 27 March 2024 (00.01) until 17 April 2024 (23.59 UTC).  We will inform you about the details of the voting process separately in an email and webinar.

Webinar: explaining the policy and voting process

The ccNSO Secretariat is organizing two webinars, which will be identical, to inform you about the policy and the voting process. The first webinar is scheduled for 26 February at 09.00 UTC and the second on 26 February at 17.00 UTC. Again, you’ll be informed separately on the details.
