As you will recall, Staffan Jonson resigned as ccNSO appointed member on the CWG-Stewardship. At the 10 December 2015 Council meeting, the chair and vice-chirs were requested to update the call for volunteers, to reflect current status of the CWG-Stewardship
(monitoring implementation and provide clarification when needed) The call for volunteers is included. The secretariat send out a call for volunteers, which closed on 5 January 2016. The following persons have put their name forward (in alphabetical order):
- Luis Diego Espinoza (not associated with a ccTLD, not a registered participant of the CWG-Stewardship)
- Ignacio Velázquez Guachire (.PY, not a registered participant in the CWG-Stewardship)
- Maarten Simon ( .NL, registered participant in the CWG-Stewardship and member of the CWG-Stewardship legal committee)
Next step is that you select the candidate. To do so, please email me (
bart.boswinkel@icann.org), indicating your preferred candidate.

Selection Procedure
After you send me the email with your preferred candidate, I will acknowledge receipt of your email and include a ballot number and date of receipt.
At the conclusion of the voting I will then circulate a list of the votes received in the following form:
Ballot number, Date received and person voted for.
This email will also include the total number of supportive votes per candidate. As usual the candidate receiving most supportive votes, will be selected.
Prior to the upcoming Council call ( 21 January) I will send you a brief report of the selection process.
