Subject: [ccnso-sopcommittee] SOP WG - Summary of Activities

Dear all,
As Chair of the Strategic and Operational Planning Working Group (SOP WG), I am pleased to provide you a summary the SOP WG has produced on the five activities in ICANN’s proposed framework for the Fiscal Year 2010-11 (FY2010 Operating Plan) considered to be most relevant for the ccTLDs. The five activities are:
- IDN Implementation;
- IANA and Technology Operations;
- Security, Stability and Resiliency (SSR);
- Policy Development Support; and
- DNS Operations.

The SOP WG will set-up a conference call with Kevin Wilson, CFO of ICANN, to provide you a more in depth overview of the framework with a focus on the five activities identified with a Q&A. This call is scheduled for April 29, 2009, noon (12 am) UTC. If you want to participate in this call please indicate this to Gabi (<gabriella.schittek@icann.org>) no later than Tuesday April 28, 2009, noon (12 am) UTC.

We hope this will assist you in providing feedback and input into ICANN’s Operating Plan. Please note the official closing date for the submission of comments on the framework is April 30, 2009.
